A Distinctive Vacation Option: Yacht Charters in the Balearic Islands
The Balearic Islands are located in the western Mediterranean Sea and are part of Spain. When translated the name means “the master of stone slingers.”
There are a total of 151 islands, but only four (Ibiza, Menorca, Majorca, and Formentera) are inhabited.

Ibiza, the Balearic Islands
Ibiza
Ibiza with its nightclubs and beaches is well-known as a party island; however, it is often overlooked for its quieter side. Ibiza, called Eivissa by the locals, has over eighty beaches within an hour of each other. A yacht charter is the perfect way to experience this island. On a yacht, you can spend the evening out at a club and awake in the quiet of a secluded cove, only to do it again the next night.
Menorca
Menorca is the opposite of all that is Ibiza. Instead of loud parties and raucous fun, there is peace, quiet, and tranquility. Referred to as the “jewel of the Balearics,” Menorca has more beaches than the other three islands put together. Menorca offers archaeological sites, amazing ecosystems, prehistoric settlements and cultural attractions. It has coves, wetlands, marshes, lagoons, and pine groves. Beautiful plants and endless wildlife can be found on this island.
Majorca
The island of Majorca can provide a wide array of choices, from beach resort to mountain village. The beach town of Magaluf offers unbeatable nightlife similar to Ibiza. Leisure activities on the island include everything from sailing, snorkeling, diving, golf, horseback riding, go carting, and cycling along with water and theme parks suitable for the kids.
Formentera
The tiny island of Formentera is all about natural beauty. Built on the “hippy invasion” of the 1960s and ‘70s, it is only twelve miles long and the smallest of the Balearic Islands. Because of its lack of both urban development and commercialism like on the other islands, Formentera is sometimes called the “last paradise of the Mediterranean.”
Luxury yacht charters in the Balearic Islands of Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza offer something for everyone: a great nightlife, five star restaurants, historic towns and beautiful unspoiled nature, making these islands one of the most popular charter destinations in the Western Mediterranean.
