Many important people have come to Ravello including famous writers, artists, political figures, and celebrities. Take time to visit Scala, the oldest town of the Amalfi Coast. The city of Amalfi has a paper museum, in which tourists can see how handmade paper used to be made. Visitors cannot miss the impressive St. Andrew Cathedral with its imposing staircase.
The beautiful village of Conca dei Marini overlooks the blue waters of the sea and has many sight-seeing opportunities including the Emerald Grotto, the church of San Pancrazio, and the convent of Santa Rosa. Furore consists of small villages peeking from the mountainside. The deep fjord and traditional houses make this “town that does not exist” a photographer’s dream come true.
Praiano offers a beach, stunning architecture, and streets that smell like geraniums. Rumor has it that the best views of the sunset are from yacht deck in the bay of Positano. The charming village of Positano has stately palaces, an archeological site of a Roman villa, and little shoes with “Moda Positano” sandals and linen clothes.
